Our policies:

We require a meet and greet before booking a new client.

All services require payment up-front.

We require all GREENSBORO clients to have keyless-entry. You may use an electronic lock or lock-box with a standard key. At this time, we do not require keyless entry at our Hilton Head Island location.

When you book our services, that spot is reserved just for you! We do not book anyone else in that spot. If you return early, we are unable to issue a refund. If you must cancel your booking, you will be billed 50% of your invoice.

On holidays, we only offer a truncated visit schedule. This is in lieu of holiday surcharges that most sitters add on. We want to offer you the best care and also have time with our families!

All “bedtime” pet visits are quick drop ins for a potty break and treat. This is in lieu of charging an extra fee for coming after 9pm.

All dogs and cats must be spayed or neutered by 1 year of age.

All animals, including birds, pocket pets, and reptiles, must see their vet at least once every 12 months.

Cats and dogs must have, at the very minimum, all county required vaccines and flea prevention. We encourage all pet parents to prevent heartworm disease by giving your dogs and cats a heartworm preventive monthly.

We only walk two dogs at a time, and only from the same household.

We are fully insured to protect you and your pets. Therefore, we do not allow animals in our care to interact with non-family animals.

We reserve the right to adjust heat and air conditioning as we see fit to keep your animals comfortable and safe in your absence.

We do not charge “per pet”, however, if we cannot properly care for your pets in 30 minutes, you will be required to book an hourly spot.

You must notify us in advance if someone other than a Lucy’s Friends sitter will be in your home while we care for your pets (for example, cleaning crew or family members dropping by).

During severe weather, we will get to your house just as soon as it’s safe.

We do not sit for outside-only dogs.

Outside-only cats must have a proper shelter (cat house, access to a patio, or the like).
