Lucy’s Friends believes in giving back to our community. Twice a year, we hold a food/supply drive for local charities. Organizations that have benefited from our drives are the SPCA of the Triad, Greensboro Urban Ministry, the Guilford County Animal Shelter, Feral Cat Assistance Program, Cascade Beagle Rescue (Lab beagle retiree program), North Carolina Pet Adoption League, and the Humane Society of the Greater Piedmont.
LF staff volunteers regularly with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Rural Shelter Help, Feral Cat Assistance Program, and other organized community efforts.
December 2009 Food Drive Thank you to all our clients who helped us collect 171 pounds of food for Greensboro Urban Ministry! This includes canned, boxed and bagged items!
